Repository List Management with Realm

Realm is a utility for editing what repositories your KateOS system uses. It allows you to add, remove, edit, and reorder repositories with an easy point and click interface. To launch Realm execute the command `realm` or select it from the System application menu.

Basic Use

Each repository your system is configured to use appears as a row. Each row has a remove button, a status button (enable/disable), and the entry of the repository.

  • A repository is enabled (meaning Updateos and KatePKG will use it) when the status button is the green recursive arrow, and it is disabled with a red circle with a slash through it.
  • When a repository is selected the Up and Down arrows on the right will allow you to reorder the entries.
  • To remove an entry simply click the remove button.
  • To add a new repository click the New button (a server box with a + on it). A new dialog will pop up asking you for the URL. The new entry is added to the end of the list, which can then be moved with the Up and Down arrow buttons.
    • Repositories must start with http://, https://, ftp://, or file://.
  • When changes are made the Save button will become clickable. Nothing you do is saved until you click Save.
