Why my USB devices do not work?
Generally, the only problem is that your hotplug is off. You should turn it on:

I run a dialup connection. How do I connect using my modem?
Modems can get to be screwy with Linux, since most of them are made to be windows-only ("winmodems"). During the installation, you should've told KateOS where your modem was. Then, when you're inside KateOS, you can open a terminal and run:
# xisp
to set up your dialup connection.
