Clicking a package, then holding the CTRL key down and clicking other packages will select only the packages which you choose.

How Do I Start KatePKG?

If you are using Xfce4 then there should be an icon for it on the Desktop menu under System. Else the command you are looking for is `katepkg` which can be typed in a terminal or bound to your favourite window manager icon/menu system.

Where Are Packages Saved?

If you have the Keep Downloaded Packages option enabled, all packages are downloaded to /tmp/katepkg and moved to /var/pkg after they have been successfully installed. If they have not been installed they sit in the temp directory. If this option is disabled then they are deleted from the system after installation.

Other Questions

Why is PHP a dependency of KatePKG?

If you are new to CRAD (Cross-Platform Rapid Application Development), see this article. Chances are unless you were installed KatePKG before it was included in KateOS you did not even have a clue it needed PHP.

Note: As far as you the user is concerned, PHP is just another language library like Perl or Python. Apache and MySQL are not required for PHP.
